Networking is not necessarily a natural skill gained in the Armed Forces however it is vital that you are effective at this on entering the commercial world and beyond.

You may not find it comfortable phoning or emailing someone often out of the blue to ask for help. However, the great thing about the ex military community is that they are happy to help, they will always have time for a coffee and a 30 minute chat so do not be afraid to ask.
