Interview preparation & practice:
Once your CV has got you over the first hurdle the next obstacle is the interview. You need to find out as much as you can about the interview – who will be interviewing you, do they know about the Services, will the questions be competency based, will there be any tests etc.
It essential that you prepare and practice, you may be going for your perfect job and you might only have an hour within which to sell yourself. You do not want to come out of the interview thinking “If only I had said that”.
However, do not over prepare as this could make you come across as nervous and muddled. An interviewer wants to enjoy the interview and engage with you. Be relaxed, quietly confident and also have some questions for them. You need to ensure that the role and the company is the right fit for you so make sure you probe them as well.
As part of our process we ensure that we prepare individuals thoroughly and gain feedback throughout the process. If you can get both positive and negative feedback from an interview then this is great. Even if you get through the first interview still ask for feedback as you can build on the positives and address the negatives in the second interview.
We can provide support with interview preparation and practice if you feel you need it. Via role playing and advice we can support you in performing at your best.
